Being a non-expensive transparent material, fully recyclable, with a relevant chemical inertia, it represents our best option for many crucial sectors like food and beverage, pharmaceutical, architecture and automotive. Yet, given its high production temperatures, glass industry emits about 5% of the European industrial CO2 (1% of the total continental emission). As in all other energy intensive industrial fields, the main ways to face the issue are:<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><i><\/i><\/b><em><i>Advanced energy
